London is calling!
Our Digital Sales Leader Stuart Perkins is getting his running shoes on and will be running the London Marathon on the 23rd April to raise money for Action Heart.
Action Heart based in Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, delivers a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation programme to a population of approximately 400,000.
“On April 23rd I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for their incredible work. Training has been going well despite picking up a few injuries at the end of last year. I’ll be looking to build the miles up again this week with a nice 20 mile run planned on Saturday morning – hopefully the snow holds off!
“We would be grateful for any donations possible; I am very excited to run the London Marathon after a long time training and can’t wait to get started.”
The Action Heart cardiovascular and exercise rehabilitation programme is comprehensive and designed to support heart patients on their road to recovery. Counselling, education, exercise and lifestyle assessment plus regular re-assessments in a 12-month programme which is one of the longest running in the UK.
More than 1,000 CVD patients benefit from the Action Heart service each year, with its successful network, business case and charity support within the local community.
