MNA Digital is a specialist local digital agency who work with you to deliver digital excellence at affordable prices.

Who Are We?

MNA Digital is the digital arm of the Midland News Association. We are a team of expert digital specialists comprising developers, marketers and PPC specialists that focus on delivering localised digital excellence at affordable prices.

The Midland News Association is Britain’s largest independent regional news company. It publishes the UK’s biggest-selling regional daily newspaper the Express & Star and its sister title the Shropshire Star, as well as 16 weekly titles and the monthly Wolverhampton Magazine and Shropshire Magazine.

In 1997 the group launched the websites expressandstar.com, which has become the fastest growing website amongst regional publishers, with the group’s websites reaching in excess of 3 million visitors per month. The digital team within the group has continued to grow to service the needs of the brand and the changing requirements of it’s customers.

In recent years, customers began to ask us for more than print advertising, they wanted to reach a wider audience, a new audience, a digital audience. As such, we invested time and resource into developing our wider digital capability involving display ads that serve the MNA networks.

Andy Hill - Managing Director


As Managing Director, Andy is responsible for the overall strategy and operation of the agency. Andy has over 20 years digital marketing experience having held senior roles at Autotrader the leading automotive online marketing and Zoopla where he headed up the Marketing services division.

Andy is passionate about delivering value for H1’s clients by ensuring that we work in a true partnership ensuring our digital marketing strategy is aligned with our clients’ business objectives.

Will Beavis - Commercial Director


As Commerical Director, Will is responsible for the partnerships and commercial revenues of the agency.

Will has considerable hands-on and management experience in online marketing, eCommerce and online sales. Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of eMarketing, including Email broadcasts, SEM, SEO, CRM, CPC, PFP, affiliate and partnership development. He is a strong advocate of teamwork allied to accountability and quality to build profitable organisations. Will has a record of success based on a positive ‘can-do’ approach to all obstacles.

Alan Birkett - Sales Manager


Alan is MNA Digital’s Sales Manager. His role comprises managing a team of digital media consultants, and a telesales department.

Alan comes with a wealth of traditional and digital media experience, having long spells at Thomson Local and in the property sector, before joining the Midland News Association.

Alan has been pivotal in driving digital forwards, and is fully Google accredited in his own right. Partnered with extensive commercial experience and a consultative approach, he truly adds value as a partner to businesses he works alongside.

Mark Cadman - Head Of Development


Mark is responsible for H1’s website product line, as well as application development, design direction, and technical strategy across H1 and our newspaper clients.

Mark has 17 years in web development, working both in the public sector and the media industry for the last 11 years.

Mark is passionate about using technology and design to further egalitarian principles, through accessibility and usability.

Mark has led several redesigns of high profile websites, including design and delivery of the first responsive news websites in the UK.

Jordan Mason - Digital Marketing Manager


Jordan heads up the MNA’s internal digital marketing for our owned businesses. He’s responsible for all marketing collateral produced by the business, events, and inbound lead generation, as well as being a go-between departments being well versed in all digital channels.

Jordan has over 6 years digital marketing experience having worked both agency side and client side across a broad range of digital verticals and industries.

He has a passion for learning and developing his skill set and looks to add value at every opportunity.

Matthew Fowell - Head Of Paid Search


Matt heads up H1’s Paid Search division, and is a key driver in delivering a positive financial impact for our clients. He’s also fully Google Accredited.

Matt is passionate about growing businesses, and as such, he is regularly invited to give talks on Digital Marketing to startups and small business owners, around the country.

He has also been working with The Prince’s Trust for the last two years, and currently mentors two aspiring business owners.

Tarandeep Suri - SEO Manager


Tarandeep is a highly motivated and ambitious person with SEO, PPC, Link Building & Digital Web Marketing and I.T support experience within the Industry.

He is an exceptionally hardworking individual who enjoys a challenge and can work well under pressure. Tarandeep possesses strong communication skills and is able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Tarandeep has strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines. He is a quick and keen learner with good team spirit.

Steve Pavis - Head of SEO


Experienced in multiple search verticals, specialising in SEO for the last 12 years. Passionately driven in this sector, he takes pride in providing the best possible solution to search requirements. His primary goals include attraction, conversion & delivering massive ROI for our clients.

His latest value, added to employers & clients campaigns, range from £7.2 million extra yearly earnings to a massive saving of £1.2 million saved from scaling SEO campaigns while reducing paid search spend.

Steve also enjoys spending time with his family, keeping fit & lets his hair down by racing cars around Croft Circuit.
